Shellstone is an original Swiss pop-folk band.

Our repertoire consists of original compositions, mainly written by Marcel Ruf and arranged by the entire band.
With our melodic ballads, performed predominantly with acoustic instruments, we aim to give our songs a distinctive and recognizable character.

 

Basel is our home – this is where Shellstone is based and where we are rooted as a band.
Shellstone was formed in 2008 when Marcel Ruf, alongside his rock band, was looking to create a space for quieter, acoustic songs.

The first album was released in 2011.
