Shellstone is an original Swiss pop-folk band.

The repertoire consists of original compositions, mostly written by Marcel Ruf and arranged by the entire band. With our melodic ballads, played predominantly on acoustic instruments, we aim to give our songs a distinctive touch.

 

Shellstone is based in Basel, but its members hail from all over Switzerland. The band was founded in 2008 when Marcel Ruf was looking for a platform alongside his rock band for songs he wanted to perform in a quieter, acoustic form.

 

The first album was released in 2011.
